DETOUR Info Day on collaborative projects in Italy on 1 April

On 1 April, an online Info Day will take place on Zoom at 5pm CET, open to all interested in the slow tourism sector, to present the funding opportunities offered by the DETOUR project.

This is a unique opportunity for SMEs operating along Mediterranean walking routes to discover how to access financial support for projects that promote innovation, sustainability, digitalisation, and the enhancement of local tourism experiences.

The call provides 100% funded grants, with no co-financing required, ranging from €15,000 to €25,000 per project. Selected projects will have a mandatory duration of 6 to 9 months, starting from 1 September 2026.

Eligible SMEs must operate in the following geographic areas:

  • Italy: along the Via Francigena, from Pavia to Rome, including a 10 km buffer zone
  • Greece: along the mountainous paths of Olympos, Kissavos, and Mavrovouni
  • Bulgaria: along the Sultan’s Trail in the Thrace Tourism Region
  • Türkiye: along the Lycian Way, from Fethiye to Antalya, including a 3 km buffer zone

During the Info Day, participants will receive detailed information about the call, the funding conditions, and the application process. The DETOUR project team will be available to answer questions and provide practical, step-by-step guidance on how to apply successfully.

The deadline for applications for funding is 1 June 2026 at 12:00 CET. The evaluation period will run from 1 June to 12 July 2026, results will be published by 13 July 2026, and projects will start from 1 September 2026.

The Info Days for the other project countries will soon be available.

Participation is free of charge upon mandatory registration. Click here to register.
