DETOUR conducts series of Info Days across Italy, Greece, and Türkiye to present opportunities for SMEs
The DETOUR project recently held a series of informative sessions—Info Days—in Italy, Greece, and Türkiye to introduce the opportunities available to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating along the cultural routes included in the initiative.
During these events, participants were presented with the various activities and support mechanisms offered by DETOUR, including tailored training and mentoring programs, assistance with adopting digital technologies, financial contributions for innovation and sustainability projects, visibility and networking initiatives, as well as opportunities to participate in international tourism fairs.
Attendees, comprising tourism operators, accommodation providers, and local stakeholders, were invited to complete a brief survey. This survey represents the initial step for SMEs to access the project’s accompanying support pathways.
DETOUR aims to create resilient tourism ecosystems along Europe’s cultural routes by promoting the ecological and digital transition of enterprises. The project actively engages dozens of local entities committed to investing in sustainability and the development of slow tourism.
The DETOUR Info Days were held between February and April, in Italy in the cities of Siena, Piacenza, Fidenza, Pavia, Rome and Viterbo, as well as in Türkiye in Sidyma - Seydikemer (Muğla), Fethiye (Muğla), Kalkan (Antalya) and Kaş (Antalya) and in Greece in the municipalities of Larissa and Meloivia, Tembi, Agias, Elassona and Dion-Olympos.
