ο έργο DETOUR είναι ένα ευρωπαϊκό έργο που χρηματοδοτείται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος SMP (Single Market Programme). Με προϋπολογισμό 2 εκατομμυρίων ευρώ και διάρκεια τριών ετών, το DETOUR στοχεύει να υποστηρίξει τη βιώσιμη και ανθεκτική ανάπτυξη του τουρισμού κατά μήκος αγροτικών και ιστορικών διαδρομών στην περιοχή της Μεσογείου.

Πρωταρχικός στόχος του είναι να βοηθήσει τις μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις (ΜΜΕ) στον τομέα του τουρισμού να ενισχύσουν την ανταγωνιστικότητα, την ικανότητα καινοτομίας και το αναπτυξιακό δυναμικό τους μέσω της πρόσβασης σε χρηματοδότηση και ψηφιακών εργαλείων.

On 27 November, the DETOUR project hosted a webinar dedicated to opportunities for small and medium-sized tourism businesses and entrepreneurial initiatives linked to European cultural routes and itineraries. The session featured experts from EISMEA, UN Tourism, the European Travel Commission and DETOUR partners, exploring how walking routes can drive growth and innovation for SMEs in Europe.

The “Train the Trainers” workshop of the DETOUR project brought together tourism and culture professionals from across Europe for three inspiring days in Viterbo, Italy. Organised within the EU-funded DETOUR project, the event focused on boosting entrepreneurship along Mediterranean walking routes — with sessions on green transition, digital innovation, sustainability, and inclusive tourism. From expert talks to hands-on workshops and cultural experiences, participants explored how to build a more resilient and sustainable tourism ecosystem across Europe.
